Exciting Stuff

Today I served as a judge for selection of the regional Keystones Technology Integrators and got to see how technology is being used in classrooms throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. Teachers are using multimedia projectors, whiteboards, webquests, classroom web sites, digital video, and more in their lessons. And students are collaborating to produce web sites, blogs, wikis, and podcasts. Exciting stuff!

We have some exciting stuff going on at Keystone, too. Third graders in Tom Mould's class are working with six of Sue Giering's fifth grade students to produce a PhotoStory movie about Keystone Elementary for our upcoming PSBA Technology Expo. Jennifer Johnson's 3rd period 7th grade English students are producing a similar video about KHS. These students are brainstorming, interviewing, writing, editing, photographing, downloading, and narrating . . . and are actively involved in the learning process!
