Teachers at Work

The KHS 7th and 8th grade teachers spent another morning at school yesterday working on their online graduate class, "Core Teaching Skills." The training is being funded by our "Enhancing Education Through Technology" (EETT) grant. The teachers will complete a total of nine modules over the next several months and will cover such topics as curriculum mapping, effective Internet searching skills, using digital media, Webquests, creating interactive experiences, and creating instructional databases and spreadsheets.

The teachers will use their new skills to develop technology-rich lessons to help students meet academic and technology standards. The teachers also have new projection systems in their classrooms, which will allow them to use the Internet and other multimedia resources in their instruction.
