CFF Installation Rescheduled!

Our CFF teachers and students will receive early holiday gifts when they return to school on Tuesday! Our CFF equipment is finally being installed on Monday (and Tuesday, if needed.) We received our final equipment delivery on Tuesday (the student laptops), so we were able to firm up our installation plans.

The crew from Cross IT, a Greenville company and Apple Service Provider, will arrive at KHS on Monday morning to begin installation of our new Polyvision Interactive Whiteboards. Our GREAT custodians (I owe Ed Best big time!) have designed frames that will allow us to install the whiteboards over the existing chalkboards in some of the classrooms. The whiteboards will be front and center and an important teaching tool. Other teachers have opted to turn their rooms and install their whiteboards on a side wall.

The Cross IT crew will also unpack the laptops and install them on the portable carts, set up the wireless access points, called "Airports," in each CFF classroom, and install whiteboard software on the teacher laptops. Wespen Audiovisual from Hawthorn will install ceiling mounts for the projectors later.

The MacBooks will need joined to our network and our Apple server configured. We are pursuing a plan to complete that process so our CFF project can get underway.
