Outstanding Web 2.0 Workshop

Sharon and I attended an outstanding workshop at Riverview IU 6 yesterday. This training on Web 2.0 tools was presented by Jim Gates of the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and was open to instructional techs and CFF coaches. (Jim is currently a CFF coach himself.) It was one of the best workshops I've ever attended! Jim introduced us to MANY Web 2.0 tools, which he has linked to his workshop wiki. Jim also maintains a "TipLine" blog to which you can subscribe, on which he tries to post a tech tip or two every day.

As you may know, Web 2.0 is not a new or different Internet. It is just a different way of using the Web for sharing and collaboration. Blogs and wikis are examples of Web 2.0 tools that can be used very effectively in education to teach 21st Century skills.

You will be hearing much more about Web 2.0 both from Sharon and me and through CFF and other trainings. We can't wait to show you some of these exciting applications!
