Photo Fun with Dumpr

I spent some time this weekend playing around with another FREE web site called Dumpr. (Who comes up with these names?) Dumpr is a photo-editing site that allows you to add cool effects to your pictures.

Dumpr is easy to use, too!
  • You don't have to register to use the site.
  • You upload your photo by browsing for it on your computer. You can also upload pictures you've saved in Flickr or bring in photos from other web sites. (Don't forget to check copyrights, though.)
  • You can save or email the finished picture. Dumpr also gives you code to embed on your blog or wiki.
Dumpr is primarily just a "fun" site, but teachers may want to apply special effects to pictures before posting on their class web sites. Students may also want to edit photos to use in digital storytelling or other projects. The pencil sketch might be used as a coloring book page.

I've included a few pictures I created using Dumpr. I'm sure my boys will love having their pictures plastered on this blog!
