Student Podcast Becomes Radio Public Service Announcement

L to R:  C-93's "Scuba Steve," Alex, Molly, Olivia

Keystone High School students in Brigette Irwin's Traffic Safety classes used Garageband software on their Macbooks to create podcasts promoting safe driving. Students chose topics to research and provided facts and/or statistics to support their topics. Each class then chose two podcasts to send to the local radio station, which selected one project to record and air as a public service announcement (PSA). Alex, Molly, and Olivia (pictured) will soon hear their PSA played on local radio stations C-93 (92.7 FM), WWCH (1300 AM), and WKQW (96.3 FM in Oil City). KHS math teacher Dustin Kifer accompanied the students C-93, where he works as a part-time deejay, for recording.
