Annotate Screenshots with the "Awesome Screenshot Minus" Chrome Extension

Awesome Screenshot Minus

Recently I was asked how to take and annotate a screenshot. A "screenshot" is a picture of your computer screen and is often used to provide instructions, to highlight and save information during research, etc.

I know many of you use the Snipping Tool in Windows, which has limited annotating options. I personally use Skitch (free download) on my Macbook. Another good tool for those who have Evernote accounts is the Evernote Web Clipper extension for Chrome.

I went in search of another option that is easy for everyone to install and use--including students. I found the "Awesome Screenshot Minus" Chrome extension, which has good reviews.

Click here for instructions on installing and using the "Awesome Screenshot Minus" Chrome extension. If your students need such a tool, they too can install this extension. Make sure they are logged into Chrome before they begin.
